"Born In Oz, Plan To Stay."
As the granddaughter of concert pianist Lola McFaddin, and cousin of Joshua Logan (1908-1988), Margaret had an early yearning for the theatre. A native of the Washington DC suburbs, she began acting in musicals at the age of eight. Ironically, months before an auto-immune condition took her hair away threatening her anonymity. Although she longed for the blissful ignorance of an untainted childhood, Margaret forged ahead using her acting and singing abilities to cope. Now many years later, she attributes those struggles to fulfilling her ambitions as a professional actress. Last fall, she played Carla in the Baltimore production of Kennedy’s Children. Margaret also appeared in the independent film Tracks, playing Jenna, a Baltimore native struggling to save her best friend from heroin (2011).
When she's not performing, Margaret works as a motivational speaker. Her program inspires young women and children towards fostering practical strategies for building self-esteem and community awareness. She is involved as a spokesperson for Children's Alopecia Project, Alopecia UK, Alliance For Inclusion In The Arts, and I am PWD who are busy making sure that film, television, and theater continue to portray an accurate representation of today's society.
